Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer

Gentoo Media Inc is a leading affiliate in the online casino and sportsbook industry through our extensive portfolio of products and services. We are now looking for a team worker and cross-functional collaborator to oversee and maintain our Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management.
• Deploy and manage Helm charts for various applications.
• Implement and manage GitOps workflows using kustomize and ArgoCD for microservice deployments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability and performance.
• Establish and maintain monitoring systems for all our systems using Prometheus, Graylog, Tempo, and Grafana.
• Manage and optimize database operations for MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL.

Requirements:
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Excellent knowledge of Ubuntu and Unix-based operating systems.
• Confidence working with the LEMP stack (Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and services such as DigitalOcean and Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with versioning software (Git, Bitbucket, GitLab).
• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages is a big plus.
• Familiarity with Autoscalers like KEDA is a big plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and knowledge on how to administer and manage these tools (mostly ArgoCD and GitLab).
• Understands the full development process and the tools required to make developers highly productive.
• Knowledge of parsing and analyzing logs, and troubleshooting issues.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good documentation skills.
• Enthusiasm and a strong appetite for learning.
