Job Summary
Aldwych Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of civil engineering projects, working closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including levels, underground drainage, utilities, pavements and roads, flooding and earthworks.
- Engage with and achieve approvals from Building Control, environment agencies, planning departments, statutory undertakes and other relevant authorities.
- Develop and implement detailed knowledge of design codes, standards and regulations, including Eurocodes, British standards and building regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in design and development.
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership.
- Extensive experience with approval processes, including sewer connections and adoptions, and works in the public highway.
- Detailed knowledge of design codes, standards and regulations, including Eurocodes, British standards and building regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microdrainage/Civil 3D.
