About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer - Amazon QuickSight Specialist to join our team at Trimble. As a key member of our product team, you will play a crucial role in further developing our application, which automates the assignment of needed transport to specific logistic partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an advanced middle layer and data pipeline, specifically optimized for analytics and business intelligence (BI) in our AWS RDS-hosted PostgreSQL database environment.
  • Assume full ownership of our BI environment, implement and uphold data governance and quality standards to maintain data integrity and security.
  • Build and manage a database schema to align with analytics and BI requirements.
  • Facilitate efficient usage of Amazon QuickSight for analytics and BI.
  • Collaborate with solution consultants & product management to design and implement Amazon QuickSight analysis and dashboards that offer actionable Insights.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in data engineering, particularly with Amazon QuickSight for analytics and BI solutions.
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases, especially within an AWS RDS context.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Focus on automation by writing software in Python.
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in building data pipelines and schemas specifically for BI and analytics.
  • Proven ability to cooperate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security practices, and compliance standards.
