Job Summary

The Technical Compliance Specialist will provide technical consulting services to regulators, manufacturers, and engineering staff. This role is responsible for reviewing and evaluating technical matters related to gaming regulatory compliance.

About the Role

The Technical Compliance Specialist will act as a technical conduit between regulators and laboratory testing or the "lab mechanics" to ensure tests are performed correctly to the regulator's satisfaction. This position will provide technical advice on gaming regulations both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service/support to regulators and suppliers
  • Conduct evaluations of submission files, identifying any areas of regulatory concern and provide related determinations
  • Evaluate documentation related to submissions/testing and demonstrate a basic level of understanding of gaming products
  • Responsible for maintaining current regulations, jurisdictional profiles
  • Maintains working knowledge of common industry technical standards and minimum internal controls for assigned jurisdictions
  • Perform reviews from a regulatory compliance stance on new verification utilities & procedures
  • Develop/maintain internal procedural documentation, coversheets, forms and test scripts
  • Work with the Engineering groups in various offices on regulatory technical questions and issues
  • Provide technical training and/or workshops to internal/external customers
  • Use of JIRA to keep track of current projects
  • Provide support to Development staff
  • Handle Special Projects as needed and assigned

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a two- or four-year degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent technical backgrounds. Fluent in Portuguese (both written and spoken) is required. Good analytical skills, great written and oral communication skills, and the ability to quickly assess issues, find solutions, and analyze the results are essential.
