Accounting Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our Finance department at Esl Education. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the accounting team, ensuring efficient and effective processing of financial transactions.
  • Process employee cash and corporate credit card expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with suppliers and resolve any queries or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and posting payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with month-end deadlines, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
  • Comply with company policies, statement reconciliations, and debit balances.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial information and support to staff as required.
  • Execute additional tasks as required to meet changing priorities.

Requirements:

  • Extensive accounts payable experience.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge, including V Lookups, pivot tables, and data formatting.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Strong customer service ethos and high attention to detail.
  • Systematic and organized approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to process high volumes of work, to deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Quick to pick up and apply knowledge.
  • High level of initiative, self-motivation, and drive.
  • Reliable with a flexible attitude.
  • Excellent level of customer service.
  • Understanding of VAT.
  • Ability to manage change.
  • Sound commercial judgement.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
