About the Role

We are seeking a talented Language Engineer to join our NLP team and work on our Personal Voice Assistant software, used by millions of users worldwide. As a Language Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the training of Machine Learning (ML) and NLP models to expand and adapt the software to various languages.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Iterate on data to improve the accuracy of NLP/ML models for various languages.
  2. Analyze model output to provide insights and improvements, deciding which type of data to feed to the algorithm.
  3. Contribute to innovating new approaches and product features tailored to specific markets.
  4. Automate and integrate workflows from diverse systems.
  5. Ensure seamless communication with the team and clients.

Requirements

  1. Native knowledge of one of the following locales: English from Great Britain (en_GB) or Portuguese from Brazil (pt_BR).
  2. 1+ year of engineering experience and interest in diverse technical areas.
  3. Experience in NLP, ML, or related fields such as Data Engineering.
  4. Knowledge of Python and typical ML libraries such as Pytorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, NLTK, etc.
  5. Good linguistic comprehension and knowledge of the structural aspects of the desired language.
  6. Experience with GIT or other version control systems.
  7. Good organizational and analytical skills.
  8. Ability to think outside the box and strong problem-solving skills.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. An academic background in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Speech technologies, or related fields.
