Job Summary:

As a Senior Resident Dentist at Metro Dental, you will play a key role in furthering your clinical experience and assuming increased clinical responsibility. You will provide mentorship to junior residents and further your professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Consultation and Examination:
Conduct thorough dental examinations to assess patients' oral health status, including dental and periodontal evaluations, oral cancer screenings, and diagnostic imaging. Discuss patients' dental concerns, treatment goals, and medical history to develop personalized treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care strategies, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.

Treatment Planning and Delivery:
Utilize evidence-based practices and the latest dental technologies to deliver safe, effective, and comfortable dental care to patients. Coordinate with senior specialists as needed for complex cases or specialized treatments.

Patient Communication and Education:
Communicate treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients in a clear and understandable manner. Address patient questions, concerns, and anxieties with empathy and compassion. Provide post-operative instructions and oral health maintenance guidelines to promote optimal treatment outcomes and long-term oral health.

Patient Care:
Deliver comprehensive dental care to patients, demonstrating expertise in a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, periodontic, and surgical interventions. Conduct thorough patient assessments, formulate treatment plans, and communicate treatment options, risks, and benefits to patients in a clear and compassionate manner. Ensure patient safety and comfort during dental procedures, adhering to infection control protocols, and implementing appropriate pain management strategies. Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, prioritizing patient satisfaction and oral health preservation.

Clinical Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and diagnostic findings. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, privacy laws, and ethical standards governing dental practice. Collaborate with administrative staff to manage scheduling, billing, and insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

Education:
Degree in Dentistry from an accredited institution.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and mentoring junior residents.

Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and administrative staff. Strong clinical skills, with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of dental conditions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
