About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Engineeringuk. As a Senior SDE, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of large-scale software systems, driving technical decisions, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solving complex problems that require scale and reliability across multiple realms.
  • Owning the software architecture and technical designs of our systems.
  • Writing high-quality, maintainable code and performing peer code reviews.
  • Providing technical leadership and expertise to the team.
  • Partnering with other teams, such as Applied Science, to drive innovation and growth.
  • Mentoring new members as we continue to expand our team and scope.
About the Team

You will be part of a diverse and dynamic team that is passionate about building scalable and reliable software systems. Our team is responsible for delivering production-ready code that will be used by hundreds of millions of customers, and we take pride in our work.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Experience programming with modern languages such as Java, C++, or C#.
  • Experience in development in the last 3 years.
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
