About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fire TV team as a Software Development Engineer. We are looking for talented individuals to help us design, develop, and deliver exceptional software experiences for our customers.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with business partners, software development engineers, and testers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems.

You will have a significant impact on our overall strategy by helping define product features, drive system architecture, and spearhead best practices that enable a quality product.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, implementing, testing, and documenting distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.

About the Team

The Fire TV 3P engineering team is chartered to bring enchanting Fire TV experiences to third-party devices. This is an opportunity to design, develop, and own the software that disrupts TV viewing experiences and impacts billions of viewers and devices.

We are spinning up a greenfield engineering team to build tools and technologies that will redefine the way 3P partners build their TVs on the Fire TV ecosystem.

With an exciting roadmap and launches planned ahead, the Fire TV 3P engineering team will independently own, deliver, and support end-to-end product journeys for partners.

Requirements
  • Experience in professional software development
  • Experience designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent and experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
