We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist to join our Lab at Camas. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and venipuncture collection services.

Job Summary:
The primary function of this role is to provide excellent customer service and collect high-quality blood samples. You will work collaboratively with healthcare team members to achieve positive patient outcomes and contribute to the organization's success. This position requires a strong understanding of department procedures and computerized EMR and Lab Information Systems.

Responsibilities:
• Collect and handle specimens accurately and efficiently
• Perform phlebotomy services with precision and attention to detail
• Provide exceptional patient care and communication skills
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:45am to 5:45pm including a rotating Saturday shift

Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist credential required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification required
• Minimum of one year of experience using blood collection techniques in a clinical lab setting preferred
• Ability to calm patients and work under stressful conditions
• Must have reliable and predictable attendance

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $24,726 - $35,461 per year, based on the location and requirements. Benefit-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full-time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full-time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. Employees will also enjoy up to six paid holidays per year, depending on schedule.
