About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Device Operating System team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing reliable, high-performance SDKs for various Amazon devices. Your expertise will help us deliver innovative solutions that improve the customer experience and solve business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement SDKs for Amazon devices, such as Amazon Echo and FireTV, at a high-quality bar
- Experiment and prototype with novel technologies to improve the customer experience and solve business needs
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to understand and respond to their needs
- Participate in collaborative Q&A sessions, workshops, and presentations to share technical knowledge
- Mentor junior team members in career growth

About the Team
Our team is a relatively new group aiming to improve the way developers build applications for Amazon's Devices. We are looking for individuals with a passion for software development and a desire to work in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience. Experience with modern programming languages such as C++, Rust, Java, or TypeScript is also required. Additionally, we are looking for individuals with experience in computer science fundamentals, debugging tools, and embedded firmware development.
