Piping Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineer to join our team at K-LAGAN, a leading international strategic company of technological services. Our company is committed to hiring the best talent and promoting their professional and personal development.

About the Job

We are looking for a Piping Engineer to work with one of our clients, an engineering company in the oil and gas sector located in Madrid and Bilbao. The selected person will be responsible for:

  • Defining 2D piping layout drawings.
  • Participating in the definition of piping classes (PSI, DIN, etc).
  • Selecting and sizing materials.
  • Preparing MTOs.
  • Generating isometrics.
  • Creating 3D piping diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Involving in procurement/purchasing phases (supplier selection/validation, evaluation of technical proposals, etc).
  • Performing stress and force calculations.
  • Designing and revising supports.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable work specifications, piping classes, standards, and work instructions.
  • Performing required stress calculations per work instructions and project specifications.
  • Transmitting design orientation, shape, and load of pipe tension clamps and nozzles to the Mechanical Department.
  • Cooperating with piping designers in selecting optimum routes to simplify stress design and assembly work.
  • Verifying comments and following up on piping surveys and drawings for correct inclusion of stresses and civil requirements for stresses.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed technical engineering degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Specialty in Structures (metallic and cement/concrete).
  • Proficiency in Caesar software.
  • A medium to high level of English.
