Job Title: Clinical Contract Manager

Job Description:

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a key role in managing the preparation, negotiation, and finalization of contract templates, processes, and negotiation parameters. As a regional lead, you will oversee the oversight of associated investigator grant budgets, ensuring quality, objectivity, and risk analysis in the efficient delivery of contract templates, process, and negotiation parameters.

Responsibilities:

  • Help influence the outcome of negotiations and ensure conformity to business needs, proper risk allocation, and compliance with the policies and procedures of the pharma services group.
  • Be a principled negotiator willing to stand up to unprincipled techniques and pressures.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers providing direction and guidance related to the contracting process.
  • Negotiate contentious issues at multiple levels both internally and with the customer's negotiation team, keeping risk exposure in mind.
  • Generate creative options to break through negotiation impasses that work for all parties.
  • Continually strive to make the contracting process more efficient, effective, and customer-centric.
  • Maintain and utilize the database within the contract management system of current and terminated contracts.
  • Serve as liaison between the client and the manufacturing sites and business units during the negotiation phase of a project.
  • Able to work in a matrixed environment to get results from disparate stakeholders including sales, finance, marketing, legal, quality, and site management/operations.
  • Able to sell the value of the contracting role to the broader business.
