Director of Product Economy

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Product Economy to lead the live operations of our popular game, Monopoly GO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and refining monetization strategies, pricing frameworks, and economic models to ensure the game's profitability and player happiness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the economic aspects of live operations and special events to optimize player engagement and revenue generation
  • Developing and refining monetization strategies and pricing frameworks for virtual goods and services, aligning them with player expectations and market trends
  • Working collaboratively with community management and marketing teams to gauge player feedback and sentiment, using insights to adjust economic strategies promptly
  • Partnering with the marketing, social, and growth teams to devise and implement promotional strategies that incentivize new player onboarding and re-engage lapsed players
  • Analyzing in-depth data from live game operations to continually refine and improve the economic model, ensuring sustainability and growth
  • Leading and mentoring a team of economy product managers, encouraging innovation and a deep understanding of mobile gaming economics and player behavior

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Exemplified experience in economic strategy and monetization in the mobile gaming industry, with significant expertise in leading live game economies
  • Proven analytical and data manipulation skills, proficient in SQL, Python, or similar analytics tools
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience guiding cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
