We are seeking a highly motivated Post-doctoral Researcher to join our team at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a methodology for the quantification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and ribosomal RNA synthesis and maturation in samples from in vivo and in vitro experiments within the European ERA4TB consortium.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement experiments to quantify Mycobacterium tuberculosis and ribosomal RNA synthesis and maturation.
- Characterize X-ray contrast probes in terms of efficacy and selectivity against mycobacteria.
- Prepare technical reports and present results at scientific meetings within the consortium.
- Provide support to other research projects in which the Bioengineering Group is involved.
- Collaborate with the teaching activities of the Department of Bioengineering.
- PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy, Health Science, or related field.
- Experience with microbiological techniques, especially with mycobacteria.
- Knowledge of molecular biology methodology, including isolation and purification of Nucleic Acids, PCR, transformation, and recombineering.
- Experience with mammalian cell biology.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing papers, technical reports, and dissemination notes.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
