About the Role
Scopely is seeking a skilled Client Software Engineer to join our team in Barcelona, working on a hybrid basis. As a global leader in the mobile games industry, we're passionate about creating engaging experiences for millions of players worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features in our core technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify optimal technical solutions.
- Develop and propose improvements to our development processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Participate in pair programming, code reviews, 1-1's, and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a strong development culture and enhance skills.
- Work closely with QA to resolve bugs and deliver high-quality code for testing, contributing directly to the code base.
- Ensure the quality of all code entering our core technologies, writing clean, efficient, and optimized code.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement the best technical solutions.
Requirements
- Experience working on gameplay development with the Unity engine.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Excellent experience working with multiple stakeholders in the development process, understanding their goals and delivering/evaluating various tech solutions.
- Strong technical skills and experience in at least one of the following areas: game engines, rendering engines, networking, physics, AI, and audio.
- Excellent programming skills in C#.
- Experience with version control, build tools, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices and trends.
