About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team at Different Technologies Pty Ltd. as a key contributor to the development of our desktop web applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced frontend engineer to take ownership of feature development, drive innovation, and collaborate with our product designers to create a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feature Development: Spearhead the development of our desktop web applications, focusing on building innovative features and functionalities.
  • Technical Leadership: Evolve our applications using a modular architecture and the latest frontend technologies, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Collaboration: Participate in the entire development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementing and testing new features, working closely with our product designers and backend engineers.
  • API Integration: Utilise APIs to communicate with various backend interfaces, ensuring robust data exchange and system interoperability.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement comprehensive testing strategies to validate features and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Technical Requirements
  • Frontend Technologies: Proficient in JavaScript (ES6) and a component-based framework (Vue, React, etc.), with expertise in HTML5 and CSS3 for creating responsive and accessible frontend applications.
  • APIs and Architecture: Extensive experience working with APIs, understanding HTTP and REST architectures, and a strong proficiency in designing and implementing modular architectures.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Positive attitude towards testing methodologies using tools like Jest, Playwright, or similar, and a passion for writing clean code, applying design patterns, TDD, and adhering to SOLID principles.
  • Version Control and CI/CD: Familiarity with module builder tools like Webpack and experience with version control tools like Git and Git-flow, with a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automating build, test, and deployment processes.
