About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow our CI Visibility team at Datadog. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will cultivate a talented team of backend and frontend engineers, responsible for building the product end-to-end, from data collection to data visualization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience leading software engineering teams and a track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule. You will work closely with product management and design teams to create intuitive, powerful, and beautiful user workflows that best leverage the vast amount of information being collected.

As a hands-on technical leader, you will participate in code reviews, design reviews, and coding, ensuring the development and continuous improvement of a scalable and reliable architecture that can keep up with the growth of the product in a sustainable manner.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a talented team of backend and frontend engineers
  • Participate in hands-on work, including code reviews, design reviews, and coding
  • Work closely with product management and design teams to create user workflows
  • Ensure the development and continuous improvement of a scalable and reliable architecture
  • Help grow the team and shape the engineering culture of the Madrid hub
Requirements
  • Experience leading software engineering teams
  • Strong technical background, with hands-on experience with Java or Go
  • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams, mentoring junior and senior engineers
  • Track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate closely with product management and design teams
