Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Payments Developer to join our Payments Ecosystem Scrum team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for shaping and building the future of our payment tools and products. Your primary focus will be on creating new and maintaining existing microservices for our new payments system, working closely with frontend developers, testers, and business analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new microservices for the payments system, using cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with the development team.
  • Maintain and improve existing microservices, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop technical solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Liaise with infrastructure specialists to ensure seamless deployment, support, and troubleshooting of the payments system.
  • Participate in Agile development team meetings, report on progress, and participate in sprint planning and task estimation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Java developer, preferably with a strong background in Spring ecosystem.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java 11+, SQL, and Linux.
  • Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate, RESTful web services, and CI tools like Gitlab.
  • Strong understanding of Agile Software Development using Scrum Methodology.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and geographically distributed team.
Desirable Skills and Experience

We also welcome applicants with experience in:

  • Asynchronous Messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
  • Java concurrency and multithreading.
  • Docker and Kubernetes.
  • The Quarkus framework.
Benefits and Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes opportunities for professional growth, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive health insurance plan.
