We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Probabilistic Safety Analysis Engineer for Accident Analysis to join our team at Holtec International. As a key member of our multinational PSA team, you will be responsible for leading and executing severe accident and containment response analyses using advanced codes and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Severe Accident and Containment Response Analyses: Utilize RELAP, MELCOR, RADTRAD, and/or GOTHIC codes to perform engineering analyses and develop technical documentation.
- Atmospheric Dispersion Analysis: Lead and execute atmospheric dispersion analysis using ARCON96 or equivalent code.
- Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and training to other PSA team members on the development and use of accident analysis codes.
- Technical Review and Documentation: Review and provide critical comments and recommendations on accident analysis vendor-related products.
- Design and Licensing Support: Gain a deep understanding of the SMR-300 concept design, its safety features, and design functions of the plant's Systems, Structures, and Components (SSC).
- Model Maintenance and Updates: Maintain and update SMR-300 accident analysis base decks and models to ensure they reflect plant design changes.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Interact with team members from other disciplines and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Design Deliverables and Presentations: Prepare and review design deliverables and presentations.
- Engineering Documentation: Support development of engineering and licensing documentation.
- Education and Experience: B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related field of engineering with 5+ years of progressive experience in application of accident analysis codes for PSA Engineer for Accident Analysis position, 10+ years for Senior PSA Engineer for Accident Analysis position.
