About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing brand strategies that align with the Wikimedia Foundation's mission and 2030 strategic direction. This will involve conducting research, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create effective brand guidelines and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a library of brand assets and materials for Foundation staff, volunteers, and partners.
- Coach and educate stakeholders on the correct usage of brand materials.
- Collaborate with data teams to analyze brand health and inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and implement brand development strategies to meet the needs of Foundation teams, partners, and users.
- Provide strategic thinking and guidance to Foundation teams, partners, and volunteers on brand-related challenges and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in brand strategy, with a strong understanding of core brand strategy frameworks.
- Proven ability to conduct research, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience working on global brands in non-US or EU markets, with a strong understanding of diverse cultural contexts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
