Job Summary

As a Data Center Project Manager at Jones Lang LaSalle, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex data center projects. Your expertise in construction management, technical aspects, and project coordination will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of these projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct interlocutor with customers to monitor project progress and identify potential risks and solutions.
  • Consult on construction projects, monitoring, and proposals from a technical, planning, economic, quality, and health & safety perspective.
  • Undertake feasibility studies (technical, economic, and planning) of projects and works.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and long-lead equipment.
  • Manage OFCI or supervise projects.
  • Develop project strategies and create project management plans.
  • Develop purchasing strategies and manage project and/or construction packages.
  • Manage suppliers and present to customers.
  • Prepare technical dossiers for tenders, receive offers, and issue award recommendations.
  • Organize regular work monitoring meetings.
  • Manage and moderate meetings.
  • Prepare minutes of meetings and periodic reports.
  • Control costs, planning, change orders, and billing.
  • Manage and control the commissioning of work and facilities.

Requirements
  • Degree in industrial engineering and specialty electrical installations, mechanical, or similar.
  • At least 4 years of experience in design and construction management of critical infrastructures like hospitals or data centers (5MW minimum).
  • 10 years of experience in the construction sector (projects and works).
  • Essential knowledge of laws and regulations related to installations.
  • Analysis capacity for risk detection and failure points, as well as the ability to search and propose solutions.
  • Leadership capacity to achieve objectives and milestone compliance.
  • Collaborative and team worker.
  • Good communication and management skills of multidisciplinary work teams.
  • Experience in dealing with customers for reporting and decision-making.
  • Essential good level of spoken and written English and Italian.
  • Good level of use of Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Project/Primavera, TCQ/Presto, BIM 360.
  • Experience in companies with hierarchical structures and internal procedures.
  • Organized in analysis, structured in reporting, and transmission of information with criteria in conclusions and prioritization of needs.
