Senior PLC Programmer Opportunity at It8 Software Engineering

We are a leading Engineering company looking for an outstanding Senior PLC Programmer to contribute to our organization's mission. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement PLC programs according to project requirements, load programs in the PLC onsite, and assist in the installation and commissioning of PLC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC programs according to project requirements.
  • Load programs in the PLC onsite.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of PLC systems.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Collaborate with Robot Programmers, Engineers, and Technicians to develop solutions for automation projects.
  • Elaborate documentation and training manuals.
  • Provide technical support to resolve issues with PLC programs and systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in PLC programming and industrial control systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in a similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic and structured text.
  • Experience with programming software such as Rockwell Automation RS Logix, RS Studio, Siemens TIA PORTAL.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation standards and protocols such as EtherNet/IP.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Methodical, excellent problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
