Job Title: Project Controls Manager

About the Opportunity:

The M80 Ring Road Alliance is seeking a skilled Project Controls Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of project controls systems and processes for our major infrastructure project.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Project Controls Manager, you will oversee the overall project controls strategy and plan, establishing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent and effective control measures.

You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on project expenditures, implementing cost-saving measures, and recommending corrective actions for budget deviations. Additionally, you will maintain and manage robust, accurate Earned Value reporting and provide leadership, governance, and support to the Risk Lead as part of the Project Controls function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the overall project controls strategy and plan
  • Establish project controls policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Oversight of budgeting and cost control processes
  • Monitor and report on project expenditures
  • Implement cost-saving measures and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain and manage Earned Value reporting
  • Provide leadership, governance, and support to the Risk Lead
  • Identify potential project risks and develop risk management plans

Requirements:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, and/or Finance
  • Postgraduate qualifications or professional certification (CPEng, RegPM, PMP) is preferred
  • Proven experience as a Project Controls Manager supporting major civil infrastructure projects
  • Advanced communication skills & leadership experience
