We are looking for an OT Specialist who possesses a strong foundation in automation and electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator capable of connecting various departments and managing stakeholder relationships at all levels. You should have experience in assembling comprehensive PLC systems, integrating both digital and analog sensors with variable frequency drives, and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills along with meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise in automation and electrical engineering to improve safe and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with the OT Manager to identify opportunities for automation enhancements and share best practices.
- Lead the design, specification, programming, simulation, and testing of automation and control systems. Ensure that processes and equipment are functioning as intended and procure necessary sensors and actuators for process control systems.
- Develop automation standards and guidelines that align with Trouw Nutrition's global protocols.
- Create reusable automation templates and solutions applicable across various projects and locations.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance and conduct root cause analyses for production challenges, recommending preventative measures.
- Support the design, installation, and commissioning of new projects, including travel for vendor facility testing, while evaluating design alternatives to optimize results and ensure alignment with business objectives and budgets.
- Maintain existing process control systems and spearhead automation projects for new facilities, as well as implement enhancements in current systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in executing automation projects in accordance with ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards.
- Proficient in automatic process control for both continuous and batch operations.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for technology.
- Proficiency in Spanish and a high level of spoken and written English (minimum B2).
