About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Infrastructure Instrumentation team in Europe. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling Rust and Go clients/projects as well as their support tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Rust and Go clients/projects, ensuring they meet the required standards and are scalable.
  • Contribute to the development of open-source projects, leveraging your expertise in Rust programming language and Linux systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to discuss and implement service improvements, research new tools and services to solve sophisticated problems properly.
  • Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach, participating in second-layer support rotations and contributing to the team's overall success.
Requirements
  • At least three years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on open-source software, Linux systems, and Rust programming language.
  • Autonomous, cross-functional, and agile individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality software at a regular cadence.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to learn quickly, stay accountable, and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues in important decisions and share code ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing instrumentation products and working with different Unix OSes and Windows.
  • Upstream contributions to relevant Open Source projects, such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, DBs, http servers, etc.
