About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Production team at Airbus Helicopters in Spain. The role involves overseeing the end-to-end process for helicopter manufacturing, from aerostructures assembly to the AH Center of Specialization for the Rear Fuselage MCA across all AH programmes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and high-quality production, meeting short-term milestones and mid-to-long-term industrial preparation and transition towards new programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the entire assembly, testing, and flight process, ensuring compliance with industry and quality standards, health & safety protocols, and Airbus values.
  • Manage a growing team of skilled foremen, assembly, and test technicians to achieve optimal efficiency and high-quality output.
  • Manage the ramp-up across all AH programmes, ensuring the right level of competences to counterbalance unexpected rate modifications.
  • Ensure the team is trained to the latest requirements, ready for the ramp-up and upcoming new programmes, with development plans and recognition provided.
  • Drive schedule, cost, quality, and safety adherence through effective planning, monitoring, and execution of assembly and test processes.
  • Implement AOS and lean initiatives to optimize processes at the shopfloor and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and other legal requirements in respect of mandatory reporting, hazard reporting, and accident/incident reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, security, and correct usage of the company premises, plant, tools, and equipment.
