The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Quantexa Delivery team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing our innovative technology for various domains, including banking, insurance, government, and healthcare. You'll work with our award-winning software to build end-to-end data pipelines, configure our decision-making platform, and detect key insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement defensive, fault-tolerant, and efficient code for production-level data processing systems.
  • Configure and deploy Quantexa software using tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Scala, Elasticsearch, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and R&D engineers to champion solutions and standards for complex big data challenges.
  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences to inform key decisions.
Requirements
  • At least four years of industry experience in a data engineering role or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or a programming language associated with data engineering.
  • Experience with modern development tooling, such as Git, Gradle, Nexus, and automation and DevOps technologies like Jenkins, Docker, and Bash scripting.
  • Strong technical communication skills and experience working in rapidly changing client environments.
  • Knowledge of testing libraries and the ability to write unit tests, integration tests, and other types of tests.
