About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Platform Engineer to join our cross-functional team at TUI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating a Data Science platform that enables our business development teams to work more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop a scalable and secure Data Science platform using cloud-based technologies.
  2. Collaborate with our development teams to integrate machine learning capabilities into our existing systems.
  3. Develop and maintain technical documentation and ensure proper security aspects.
  4. Work closely with our operations team to ensure operational readiness and observability of the platform.
  5. Continuously improve CI/CD and automation maturity and efficiency.
  6. Research and evaluate new approaches, processes, and tools to improve our platform.
  7. Contribute to Communities of Practice and collaborate with other teams to drive technical excellence.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in cloud engineering and development. You should have a proven track record of designing and building scalable and secure cloud-based systems, as well as experience with DevSecOps and security engineering practices.

Requirements

  1. Experience working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud environment.
  2. Proven hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and managing scaled cloud systems.
  3. Good experience with AWS Sagemaker, AWS Bedrock, and DataDog.
  4. Very knowledgeable with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI.
  5. Experience with the administration of Kubernetes is highly beneficial.
  6. Proven track record in Data Science projects as a Machine Learning Engineer.
  7. Customer-centric and passionate about delivering great digital products and services.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills.
  9. Understanding of social and ethical implications of software engineering.
  10. Frontend experience in React or similar.
  11. Open-minded, inquisitive, and a life-long learner.
