Ample, Inc. is a pioneer in the electric vehicle space, developing a new way to deliver energy to any electric vehicle.
At Ample, we use advanced robotics to enable fast modular battery swapping that is as fast, cheap, and convenient as gas.
We are a team of technologists, designers, and environmental enthusiasts who believe this problem to be among the most critical challenges of our time.
Responsibilities:
As a Technical Program Manager at Ample, you will be the conduit for facilitating interactions between the Ample engineering team and external partners in support of the integration of the Ample battery system into vehicles. This includes facilitating technical discussions, managing information exchange, and coordinating with external 3rd parties related to OEM and certification product testing. You will also collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support OEM discussions and provide clear direction on work to be completed, identify risks and work to mitigate and reduce exposure, champion and raise issues, and remove roadblocks to ensure project delivery. Additionally, you will communicate, plan, and create alignment with both internal and external partners representing different parts of the organization, establishing timing and managing with high levels of initiative, organization, and technical competence, and keeping stakeholders up to date on progress and risks.
Requirements:
BS or higher in Software or Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred. 5+ years of demonstrated experience working at a Tier-1 automotive supplier on new product developments.
Program management/new product launch-introduction experience. HV battery systems experience is a plus. You must demonstrate the ability to balance managing technical and business requirements, possess strong project management and proven analytical skills, and have a detail-oriented and results-driven personality that is motivated by solving complex problems. You should be comfortable working in ambiguous environments and identifying courses of action to achieve the desired outcome. Excellent written and verbal skills, able to concisely communicate across the organization, and written and verbal fluency in English are also required. Authorized to work in Spain is a must.
