We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon. Key Responsibilities- Lead the design of features and initiatives across the organization, focusing on firmware development of platform components for upcoming Ring battery-powered devices on Linux and/or RTOS based SOCs.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement new features, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team, with a proven track record of success.
- Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development, with a strong background in embedded development in C/C++.
- Experience in development in the last 3 years, with a focus on firmware development and platform component design.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, with a strong foundation in software development principles and practices.
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
