We are seeking a highly skilled Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team at Robinsons Land Corp - Robinsons Homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the billing and collection process, ensuring timely and accurate payments from our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Account Servicing
- Attend to client inquiries and concerns regarding their accounts, including deferment of deposit of post-dated checks.
- Acknowledge and secure post-dated checks for safekeeping.
- Prepare and submit post-dated check warehousing text files to the bank and transmit physical checks.
- Monitor and reconcile maturing post-dated checks, prepare POS reports as needed, and reconcile to abstract reports from the bank.
- Set up accounts for clients with payments through Auto Debit Arrangement (BPI and BDO) and generate maturity reports.
- Prepare adjustment advice for collection requests, including standard discounts, movement of due dates, reclassification of payments, restructuring, refinancing, and waiver of penalties.
- Prepare affidavits of release and quitclaim for refund checks.
- Monitor daily inward returned checks reports from the bank and identify bounced checks for DM and SAP.
- Book in-house financing and evaluate the creditworthiness of clients for housing units.
- Prepare certificates of full payment and purchase, online and manual clearing sheets, and statement of accounts.
- Follow up on payment of delinquent accounts through telephone, mail, and email.
- Follow the approved collection process, including sending reminder letters, demand letters, final demand letters, notice to cancel, and notice of cancellation.
- Document bounced checks through DM and follow up on replacement checks, sending bounced check letters, bounced check demand letters, and bounced check legal letters.
- Process requests from clients, such as holding check deposits for pull-out to the bank.
- Offer remedies to restructure accounts to prevent cancellation.
- Process deferment of cancellation requests from clients.
- Generate past due reports, ageing reports, active accounts or unpaid accounts, cancellation reports, collection reports, maturing post-dated checks reports, bounced check reports, fully paid accounts reports, and joint venture sharing reports.
- Enroll and renew life and fire insurance and HGC for clients.
- Perform bank reconciliation, clean up unreceipted remittances and deposits, and unreconciled returned checks.
- Monitor bank remittances from overseas clients and direct deposits from local clients.
- Replenish documents and receipts versus RFCV.
- Monitor and consolidate reports of DCRs from the region.
- Tag cleared checks for incentive check processing.
- Prepare monthly RSC billing.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and relevant work experience is preferred.
Compensation
The salary for this position is Php18,000.00 to Php19,000.00 per month.
