About the Role

DNV's Renewables Advisory group in the SEMELA region is seeking a Senior PV Module Expert to join our Solar Team. Our region holds a substantial market position for technical due diligence, owners engineering, and energy analytics. We support customers in their financing, construction, and operation of solar energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Manage technically complex projects related to PV module and other solar PV technology, bankability studies, and failure investigations.
  2. Quality Assurance: Provide quality assurance support for PV module technology review.
  3. Technical Review: Initiate and coordinate technical review process among internal specialists.
  4. Supply Chain Management: Support in reviewing module supply agreements, factory acceptance testing, and site acceptance testing for PV modules in Independent Power Producers/Owners' Engineering/Technical Due Diligence projects.
  5. Tool Development: Develop, and innovate in-house tools and global capabilities for technology review as part of due diligence process.
  6. Energy Assessment: Support internal energy assessment teams for PV module technology related benchmarking, updating and explanation for loss considerations such as LID, degradation, PAN file, etc.
  7. Measurements Development: Support internal measurements teams in their PV module measurements service development.
  8. Stakeholder Management: Complex internal/external stakeholder management.
  9. Proposal Development: Support/develop win proposals for scopes of services related to PV module bankability studies, PV module failure investigations and similar scopes for other critical solar PV technologies too.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  2. 6+ years of experience working in the solar industry with 4+ years in PV module technology design/manufacturing/QAP etc.
  3. Familiarity with solar PV industry technology (modules, inverters, mounting system, balance of system).
  4. Project management and ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  5. Solution-oriented thinking skills identifying technical risks and formulating solutions.
  6. Fluent in MS Office products.
