Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Cloud architects and DevOps engineers (3-5 direct reports) to design and build Cloud & Edge products and enabler platforms for private and public sector, including secure/official customers within VBPS/PPE.
  • Support the development of Cloud & Edge offerings within VBPS/PPE.
  • Produce and maintain architecture/design documents for solutions and roadmaps for their desired end-states.
  • Capture, document and share Architecture best practices and build and maintain relationships with other Architecture areas within Vodafone.
  • Provide guidance to product and solution designers that are contributing to the Cloud & Edge Architecture or making use of it for Customer Solutions.
  • Develop cross technology architecture strategy through the formation of working groups relating to enterprise product and business system technologies.
Requirements
  • Self-motivated/self-starter with strong leadership, communication and influencing skills (up to C-Level) and the ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with business users and stakeholders at all levels.
  • 5+ years of working within a technology organisation in a similar role, leading end to end solution development / solution assurance and leading matrix teams.
  • Deep understanding and experience in the application and development of products/strategies relating to Cloud technology with focus on Azure and AWS.
  • Understanding and experience in the application of Architecture frameworks and techniques.
  • Experience in implementing and adapting architecture techniques within multiple delivery scenarios (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps etc).
Essential Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications in Azure, AWS, Google, VMware TOGAF COBIT, Zachmann, Tele Management Forum standards (TAM, eTOM and SID), ITIL etc.
