Job Title: Field Medical Advisor
">About the Role:
">- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Medical Advisor to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and facilitating medical education and communications, research, and scientific insight gathering activities.
- This includes providing scientific and medical data on licensed and unlicensed client products and indications as permissible by local laws and regulations.
- You will identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative partnerships with external clinical and scientific experts and institutions to provide support for current and future client portfolio activities.
Main Responsibilities:
">- To develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant disease area topics and client products, competitor products, and other therapeutic options within the therapeutic area.
- To collaborate with the cross-functional team to ensure the best patient care.
- To maintain an in-depth understanding of the medical strategy and broader client strategy to ensure own activities are coordinated with the team and aligned to the clients strategy.
- To collaborate with Cluster (and Country Medical Leads) for the development and execution of the field medical strategy for the product and disease area.
- To maintain and develop synergistic relationships with KOLs to expand research, advisory, and educational partnership opportunities.
- To work to the highest ethical compliance, ethics and safety standards adhering to all local regulations and laws.
- To engage with the cross-functional team to ensure own activities are coordinated with the team and aligned to client strategy.
- To initiate and lead the implementation of medical projects, e.g. Medical Advisory Board meetings, Medical Education, (patient) care innovation projects.
- To provide scientific congress coverage and support client planned activities.
- To serve as external, credible scientific expert on disease area and client products at HCP field meetings, key medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings and patient advocacy group meetings.
- To respond to unsolicited requests for medical information on client products in a credible, balanced / objective manner.
- To proactively engage with the HCP community to provide medical education as permissible by local laws and regulations.
- To provide effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences and tailor presentations to meet specific audience needs.
- To support Early Access Programmes (EAPs).
- To identify and map HCPs and networks / referral patterns.
- To identify key field insights related to client products, activities, and the disease area and effectively disseminate and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
- To support clinical operations in trial site identification.
- To facilitate clear communication between the client and investigators in investigator engagement for both client-sponsored and investigator-sponsored studies and address barriers to enrollment for pipeline assets.
- To identify and support local data generation activities.
Requirements:
">- MSL / FMA experience is essential.
- An advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) or professionally qualified (physician, nurse pharmacist) is required. Exceptional candidates with MSc considered.
- Experience within the disease area (as part of academia or in industry) is preferred.
- A strong understanding of clinical research design and GCP in the disease area is required.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of local healthcare systems, treatment guidelines.
- Demonstrates ability to develop trust and maintain integrity with KOLs / External Clinical and Scientific Experts, investigators, HCPs, and institutions, as well as with peers, and others.
- Demonstrates knowledge of relevant laws and regulations to role.
- Excellent presentation, communication skills are essential.
- Ability to convey complex scientific concepts and information appropriately tailored to the audience e.g., affiliate staff and regional / global Medical Affairs leadership.
- Portuguese and Spanish speaking candidates are preferred.
