Fire Prevention Specialist

Job Summary

As a Fire Prevention Specialist at KBR, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation - Turkey, and the Ankara Support Facility in Turkey. Our team is integral to ensuring these bases and facilities operate seamlessly, allowing deployed Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions without disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations to the Fire Chief based on thorough reviews.
• Ensure timely identification, documentation, and mitigation of fire risks.
• Develop and maintain fire prevention and code enforcement programs to educate the public on fire safety, life preservation, code compliance, and risk reduction.
• Execute integrated fire prevention programs effectively.
• Participate in pre-acceptance and acceptance testing for new construction or facility alterations.
• Conduct facility plan reviews and implement corrective measures to ensure compliance with relevant building codes.
• Interpret national building and life safety codes, along with reviewing engineering plans and specifications for new construction, major repairs, and renovations.
• Recommend modifications and enhancements based on sound fire prevention engineering principles, in accordance with agency regulations, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) building codes, and other applicable guidelines.
• Utilize skills to identify and address fire hazards and deficiencies, conducting thorough facility inspections to ensure compliance and safety.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
