- Test Rig Design and Execution: Design, build, commission, and execute system and vehicle rig tests to a high technical standard.
- Test Reporting and Data Analysis: Generate and maintain regular data-driven test and status reports.
- Failure Analysis: Conduct and support failure root cause analysis (RCA).
- Test Facility Management: Prospect, nominate, and coordinate outsourced test facility suppliers.
- Test Procedure Development: Create and maintain test procedures and strategies.
- Benchmarking and Testing: Plan and execute internal and competitor benchmarking tests.
- Test Data Management: Catalogue test data to aid system development and target setting.
- Programme Budget Management: Manage and report against programme testing budgets.
- Team Support: Support the System Test team in the development and validation of chassis, thermal, and powertrain systems.
- Education: Engineering bachelor's degree 2:1 or above or relevant experience.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge and experience in automotive body validation procedures.
- Test Rig Experience: First-hand experience in the design, build, commissioning, and running of test rigs including structural design and instrumentation for measurement, actuation, and data acquisition.
- Data Analysis: Experience with data analysis.
- Design Capability: Catia V5 design capability.
- Automotive Knowledge: Understanding of automotive body materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Root Cause Analysis: Proven experience in root cause and failure mode analysis.
- Legislation: Understanding of automotive legislation.
- Production Experience: Experience of low to medium volume vehicle production.
- Language: Fluency in English.
