We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Technical Operations to lead our Engineering and Technical team in the development and implementation of our renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the technical aspects of our project portfolio, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead the technical due diligence process for project acquisition or divestment, working closely with external technical advisors, sellers, or buyers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including technical advisors, consultants, project managers, owner's engineers, investors, EPC companies, and suppliers.
- Provide technical support to the Asset Management team during the operational phase of projects.
- Establish and optimize robust technical and commercial relationships with industry-leading technical service providers.
- Recruit, retain, and develop a world-class Engineering team to provide top-notch support to the business.
- Develop and implement comprehensive reports on the technical progress of the project portfolio, providing risk and opportunity analysis to the team and management.
- Effectively manage and distribute workload among team members, negotiate deadlines, and anticipate business needs to optimize the level of detail in inputs and outputs.
- Significant experience (10 years plus) leading high-performing Engineering teams in renewable energy projects, preferably in solar and storage.
- A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Italian, Spanish, French, or Greek is a plus.
- Strong technical and commercial acumen with negotiation skills throughout all project phases.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage in senior-level discussions and with external leadership teams.
- Independent self-starter with attention to detail, capable of managing a multidisciplinary team across multiple geographies and deadlines.
