About the Role
We are seeking dedicated individuals who are committed to enhancing global health outcomes.
The role of the Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is tailored to address the needs of scientific authorities through a team of medical professionals possessing extensive expertise in specific disease areas, existing products, and investigational therapies (both from Lilly and competitors). MSLs play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the pharmaceutical industry and the scientific community by providing essential information and facilitating scientific discussions. This engagement allows MSLs to contribute to improved patient care by addressing significant clinical and scientific inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and effectively convey comprehensive scientific knowledge.
- Excel in customer engagement, supporting the medical and scientific information requirements of key opinion leaders. Provide in-depth and advanced information regarding disease states and products.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify potential research opportunities and external partnerships.
- Synthesize complex data and communicate meaningful clinical insights, addressing any unanswered questions from customers.
- Develop internal networks and work collaboratively across functions, actively contributing to medical planning and strategy.
- Execute responsibilities in a compliant manner, adhering to all relevant internal and external guidelines.
- Implement a strategic territory plan aligned with Lilly's priorities, utilizing a profound understanding of customer needs and preferences.
- Prioritize time spent with customers and align with their expectations, integrating Lilly's strategic vision and evolving customer requirements into future initiatives.
- Deliver optimized solutions to intricate challenges through thorough root cause analysis.
Qualifications
Master's or Bachelor's degree in health sciences; a PhD in Diabetes and/or Obesity is preferred.
A minimum of one year of experience in medical affairs or as an MSL.
Essential Skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
Proficient in English (C1/Advanced).
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
Desirable Experience & Skills
Knowledge or experience in Diabetes and/or Obesity is advantageous.
Highly motivated with the ability to understand and communicate complex scientific information clearly.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on building professional relationships and networking.
Proven ability to manage priorities and multitask effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively and share information within a team environment.
