About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mass Properties Specialist to join our team at Airbus. As a key member of our Mass Properties department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of mass properties data throughout the aircraft lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date mass properties data, including mass, centre of gravity, and inertia.
  • Contribute to the development of new aircraft designs, including derivatives, and provide operational support for in-service vehicles.
  • Define and track mass status, target mass, and route to target, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report mass at various stages of the vehicle lifecycle, including mass estimations, calculations, accounting, and weight control.
  • Validate mass through weighing and ensure accuracy of mass models for loads analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and challenge vehicle design, driving optimization and cost savings.
  • Deliver mass models for loads analyses and perform trade studies, benchmarking, and competitor analyses to inform vehicle optimization.
  • Support Chief Engineering and Program teams in decision-making, providing expert advice on mass properties.
  • Participate in design reviews, weight maturity reviews, and weight savings initiatives, ensuring mass risks and opportunities are identified and mitigated.
  • Support marketing efforts to prepare customer guarantees and vehicle deliveries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain capabilities and processes to enable and enhance Time, Quality, Cost delivery to programs.
  • Participate in transnational and/or multi-functional meetings to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Recent graduates or Master students in aerospace engineering or similar fields.
  • Strong coding skills, with experience in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
  • Proactivity, autonomy, and organization capability, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced level in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
