We are seeking a highly skilled Researcher to join our IoT team at the i2CAT Foundation. As a Researcher in IoT and Ambient Intelligence, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of IoT solutions and prototypes, with a focus on enhanced positioning and smart environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop IoT prototypes and solutions for enhanced positioning and smart environments
- Collaborate with the IoT team to implement and evaluate IoT solutions in real-world environments
- Conduct research on emerging IoT technologies and protocols, and propose strategies for cooperative and distributed IoT networks
- Develop and deploy experimental testbeds to validate IoT prototypes
- Write technical documentation and project deliverables
- Collaborate with other researchers and engineers on IoT projects
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or IT Engineering
- Proven experience in R&D or professional activities in IoT, firmware programming, IoT communication technologies, and hardware design
- Experience in C/C++ and Python programming, and familiarity with IoT development platforms and programming IDEs
- Capability to work autonomously, proactively, and assume responsibilities
- Knowledge of IoT technologies and protocols, including UWB, WiFi HaLow, LPWAN, and VLC
- Experience in wireless sensing, AI, NN, and ML, and computer vision
- Experience in data analysis tools and laboratory equipment
- Previous participation in European or national R&D&I projects
