Accounts Receivable Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of the Finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify daily revenue journal and reconcile PMS system balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and circulate daily revenue reports to department heads, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
  • Verify credit card billing and prepare credit card and bank conciliation sheets to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Ensure compliance with audit policies and procedures, as well as hotel credit policies and procedures.
  • Process new credit applications, manage credit limits, and maintain accurate credit files for each account.
  • Regularly distribute listings of active accounts receivable and establish credit limits as needed.
  • Review and reconcile checked-out guests, open payer accounts, and advance deposit records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • Strong accounting and financial management skills, with a focus on accounts receivable and revenue cycle management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including PMS systems and accounting software.
