The Risk & Loss Prevention Specialist is a vital role within our organization, focusing on the identification and management of risks and losses across retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive risk and loss assessments to pinpoint vulnerabilities within company operations.
- Formulate and enforce policies and procedures aimed at minimizing risks and curtailing losses throughout the organization.
- Supervise and assess the effectiveness of security measures and inventory management systems in retail locations and distribution centers.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Human Resources, and Finance, to address and resolve risk and loss-related challenges.
- Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, or other criminal activities, implementing appropriate corrective measures.
- Provide training and support to staff on security protocols, loss prevention strategies, and fraud detection techniques.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in risk management and loss prevention.
Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in a risk and loss prevention role.
- Master's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in a global or international organization.
- Background in retail, fashion, or FMCG sectors is advantageous.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus (knowledge of French or Portuguese is beneficial).
- Team-oriented with a belief in collaborative success.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in EPM tools and strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Experience in presenting data through various reporting tools (e.g., Power-BI, PowerPoint).
- Ability to engage with local and international stakeholders effectively.
