At ICL Group, we are seeking a skilled Operational Buyer to join our team in Suria, Spain.
This role will be responsible for executing technical procurement activities aligned with our global sourcing strategies. As an Operational Buyer, you will lead the procurement of indirect services, transactional, and sourcing activities, including Projects and MRO, for our Site locations in Spain.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in sourcing activities to achieve cost reductions while maintaining or improving service quality or vendor service levels.
- Act as the focal point of contact for stakeholders in Project/Maintenance meetings at Site.
- Prepare purchase orders in the ERP system (SAP) and follow up on their status.
- Develop and execute RFP/RFQ documentation and commercial evaluation.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiate, and close framework agreements.
- Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets, and trends of the Contractors sub-category.
- Engage in commercial negotiations and interactions with suppliers.
- Monitor vendor performances and their compliance with their commitments.
- Ensure timely shipment and delivery of items.
- Address and resolve operational issues with suppliers.
- Monitor and resolve payment processing challenges.
- Review, prepare, verify, and/or approve financial and business transactions within established frameworks and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or higher.
- Total 5+ years of experience, with at least 3 years of relevant work in procurement.
- Understanding of contracting services markets.
- Advanced English level.
- Strong negotiation skills and result-driven personality.
- Excellent interpersonal, business acumen, communication, and supplier relations skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix management style organization.
- Strategic thinker and pragmatic worker.
