Purpose of the Warehouse Supervisor Role
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for monitoring daily and weekly operational progress against forecast and KPIs, identifying bottlenecks and underperformances, and implementing improvements. Key activities include:
- Monitoring and analyzing operational data to identify areas for improvement
- Communicating with the transport department to improve logistics efficiency
- Managing a warehouse shift and team, including leading smaller operational change projects and participating in larger change initiatives
- Contributing to teambuilding and employee development, including frequent 1:1 sessions and team meetings
- Supporting the warehouse manager as needed
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- At least 3 years of supervisor experience in a logistics environment
- A proficient level of English and Dutch
- Experience with WMS systems and understanding of warehouse processes
- Able to support the documentation of processes and procedures
- Pragmatic and solution-driven approach
- Flexible mindset and hands-on mentality
- Open to other cultures and willing to supervise a two-shift operation
