Your Role in Our Vision
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer for our System Level Control department, part of the Technology Business Unit. This team comprises talented engineers located worldwide, specializing in turbine functional engineering. The department is responsible for delivering comprehensive functional systems and feature solutions at the system level, from requirement specification to final product validation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a System Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the system-level engineer for turbine control features
- Collaborating with customers and stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements, interfaces, and process flows
- Developing measurable requirements with clearly defined success criteria
- Engaging all relevant interface owners as stakeholders
- Conducting system engineering in partnership with safety and controller system owners
- Integrating sensors and actuators into the turbine control system
- Contributing to the advancement of new wind turbine control and monitoring functionalities
- Developing and analyzing actuator and sensor models
- Performing computational and experimental performance assessments of wind turbines
- Collaborating with the software team to implement design solutions
- Planning and executing validation studies to compare computational analyses with measurement data
- Contributing to technical projects in a self-directed and goal-oriented manner
What You Need to Make an Impact
A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to driving change are essential. We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Proficiency in English (C1-C2 level)
- A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline
- Programming experience in MATLAB, FORTRAN, C/C++, or similar languages
- Experience in handling and analyzing large engineering datasets
- Familiarity with measurement techniques and data analysis, including time-series and spectral analysis
- A strong desire and capability to tackle complex technical challenges through innovation and collaboration
- Excellent analytical skills, self-motivation, and the ability to solve problems through teamwork
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with product development processes
- Proficiency in modeling physical systems using Simscape, Modelica, or similar tools
- Knowledge of wind turbine design and certification processes
- Understanding of wind turbine controls, loads, structures, aeroelasticity, and related analysis tools
