Position Overview:
The Senior Manager for EMEA wiring and cables will be responsible for formulating and executing the global category strategy within the wiring and cables sector. This role involves close collaboration with the global category leader and the EMEA Supply Chain Business Partner. You will oversee operational activities for the EMEA leadership team regarding contract implementation, regional supplier selection, supplier performance, and identifying optimization opportunities to meet key performance indicators while managing supplier risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead regional Strategic Sourcing initiatives to enhance business value and outcomes.
- Formulate and implement a regional sourcing strategy that aligns with global objectives, operating within a matrix structure.
- Aim to achieve annual productivity goals for the category by effectively managing the supply base, fostering competition, ensuring sustainable cost reductions, and maintaining transparency in cost structures.
- Enhance supply chain KPIs in the EMEA region, focusing on quality and delivery metrics.
- Conduct supplier negotiations using a data-driven methodology and cost modeling techniques, ensuring adherence to procurement policies.
- Collaborate with Engineering on new product introductions and modifications, aligning sourcing strategies with value engineering initiatives.
- Assist in product localization and development with approved suppliers in conjunction with global supply chain and engineering teams.
- Establish and execute a supplier risk mitigation strategy for the category, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Purchasing; a master's degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in sourcing and category management.
- Experience in a highly globalized, matrixed environment, preferably within an industrial or operational sector.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
