Job Title: Teacher Of Science

We are seeking an exceptional full-time teacher of Science to join our team at the British College of GavaBarcelona. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3 Science, KS3 ESD, and ESS at DP level, as well as some general science. You will also have the opportunity to lead our Education for Sustainable Development Programme, inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of the natural world and their place within it.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to measure student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development of our Science curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and challenging for our students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of Science-related events and activities
Requirements:
  • Strong subject knowledge and teaching expertise in Science
  • Experience of teaching IGCSE and/or IBDP would be an advantage
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to lead by example and contribute to the school's pastoral care
