About this Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Developer to join our team at Ericsson, where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge 5G Core Network projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. You will work in a multi-functional team to develop new functionalities for 5G User Plane, collaborating with colleagues from Spain, Sweden, and China.
  2. Participate in the full life-span of software features, from early phases to final deployment on live network, supporting customer teams.
  3. Be part of a multinational organization, driving innovation and growth in the telecommunications industry.

Requirements

  1. A bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in programming open-platform, real-time, and high-availability systems, as well as scripting.
  3. Programming experience in C, and at least one scripting language (i.e., Python, shell/bash) on UNIX/Linux.
  4. Knowledge in TCP/IP Networking, evolution transport protocols (like QUIC), data networks, and IP-based applications (HTTP, HTTPS,...), Routing and Signaling.
  5. Capacity to investigate and debug complex issues, including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, core dump analysis, etc.
  6. Experience with cloud-native software stacks and execution environments.
  7. Knowledge of containers (i.e., Dockers).
  8. Knowledge in operating system architectures and capacity to model scalable designs and solutions.
  9. Good written and spoken English, confident working in international environments.

Desirable Competences

  1. Advanced Linux user and network administrator.
  2. Experience in configuration of network equipment.
  3. Knowledge in Mobile network architecture 4G/5G.
  4. Interfaces, protocols, functions C++ and/or Golang.
  5. Knowledge in Link-layer protocols: ARP, ND, BFD (Routing and L2-L4 protocols).
