About the Position

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join its Life Sciences Department. As a leading supercomputing center in Spain, BSC is committed to advancing scientific research and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists to advance research in computational biology, bioinformatics, and machine learning.
  • Contribute to writing research projects and publishing research findings in top-tier scientific journals.
  • Participate in technical meetings with internal and external collaborators to lead technical discussions and mentor junior team members.
  • Coordinate with BSC support departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

  • PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, physics, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent programming languages.
  • Experience in high-performance computing, life sciences, and project management.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in Spanish and other European languages advantageous.
